La Sabotiere?

Graduated from the Agricultural Institute in Saint-Hyacinthe (QC, Canada) in 1996, Raymond Boulais is not only the founder of La Sabotiere but also the owner, with his wife, Sophie Baril, of his dairy farm: the RS Boulais Farm.

2000

Raymond Boulais created La Sabotiere, a company dedicated to cow hoof trimming in Sabrevois, QC in Canada.

At the beginning of its activity, La Sabotiere got about thirty dairy herds to focus on.

2001

Raymond Boulais and Sophie Baril, his wife, have become the fifth generation to run the family dairy farm also located in Sabrevois, QC in Canada.

When they decided to no longer breed the heifers, the production pace had been quickly increased. The couple bought 31 kilograms quotas more to enlarge milk production.

2010

As a professional hoof trimmer, Raymond Boulais realized that issues regarding cow hoof health are various among all the dairy producers he has been following on a daily basis.

Aware of the gains in productivity for his clients and concerned about the well-being and the health of the Canadian dairy herds, La Sabotiere expanded its services and integrated two major activities: TRAINING and CONSULTING.

2013

Raymond Boulais became one of the first official Canadian distributors of the well-known Dutch brand: Intracare.

La Sabotiere has begun its third (and last) activity: DISTRIBUTION of high-end products for hoof health (trimming and care) and committed to be a reference for all Canadian dairy producers.

2017

Raymond Boulais was named first official distributor of hoof trimming chutes from KVK Hydra Klov.

2018

The RS Boulais Farm changed radically its breeding pratices. From December 12, 2018, the 120-heads dairy herd has been now evolving into free stalls. For milking, the choice of Raymond Boulais stopped on a 30-post WAIKATO New Zealand milking carousel and the RS Boulais Farm is the only one in Canada to be equipped with it!

La Sabotiere is proud to train more than 30 Canadian dairy producers and 50 students each year, to support around 20 Canadian dairy producers (3 000 dairy cows) and to develop partnerships with the most biggest global brands that cannot be ignored when working in the field of hoof trimming and care (DICK, Intracare, KVK, Mini Moo Gloo, The Smart Block, TP® BLOCK, etc.).
